In addition to the cookery courses they run, there is a farm with pedigree Aberdeen Angus and Highland cattle herds and old orchards abundant with heritage apple varieties. I was lucky to have bright autumn weather to photograph the beasts in the fields - and to get up close some enchanting baby animals!
